Dinesh Karthik, who recently made a comeback to the Indian team after a long gap of three years, produced another clinical performance to help the Indian cricket team register their second win of the ongoing 5-match T20I series against South Africa.
Dinesh Karthik Gave A Terrific Performance

The 37-year-old hit smashed his maiden fifty in the shortest format of the game at the international level in his 36th T20I match. His maiden fifty came after a long wait of 16 years after he made his India debut in T20is in 2006.
His half-century helped India reach a strong total of 169/6 in 20 overs after the side endured the worst possible start, losing wickets of in-form players in quick successions. The likes of Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and the stand-by captain Rishabh Pant all of them failed to give the best of their abilities with the bat, however, DK walked into bat and showcased his finishing skills once again

Dinesh Karthik played a stunning knock of 55 in just 27 balls as he went into beast mode in the end overs in the 4th T20I match. He took the attack to the Proteas bowlers and smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes during his stunning knock. He was well supported by Hardik Pandya on the other end, who played the role of an anchor and smashed 46 runs.
DK Revealed What Hardik Pandya Told Him
Meanwhile, after the game, during the post-match conference, Dinesh Karthik talked about his performance and revealed what Hardik Pandya told him when he walked in.
DK also revealed how India’s head coach Rahul Dravid is only focusing on how players are performing and not the results. He said:
“When I went in, Hardik told me to bide time. To execute things well is great. To go and be a local boy in Bengaluru, despite not representing RCB, is a thrill. The series is on the line which is great. Rahul Dravid has focused on what batters and bowlers need to do and not the results, the dressing room is secure and feels fuzzy which is good. That clarity and environment has helped,”
Rishabh Pant Is All Praises For Pandya And DK
India’s stand-in skipper Rishabh Pant also heaped praises on DK and Hardik Pandya. He said:
“Really happy with the way Hardik put up a show. DK went for the kill rightaway and that gave us the positivity. As an individual, I can look to improve in certain areas. Looking to take the positives and looking to improve. Let’s see what happens in Bangalore. Looking forward to give our 100 per cent,”
