All the eyes of the cricket world are on India as the biggest series of the year – Border Gavaskar Trophy is all set to kickstart within a few days. The much-awaited four-match Test series will begin on February 9th in Nagpur, with Delhi, Dharamshala, and Ahmedabad set to host the next four games. Both teams are sweating it out ahead of the series. have already started preparation. While the Indian team is already in Nagpur, the Australians are currently training in Bengaluru.

Ahead of the series, the pitches for the Test series in India have become one of the most talked about topics. Former Australian wicket-keeper batter Ian Healy made a controversial statement saying that if India prepares fair pitches, the visitors have a chance to win the series.

Speaking on ‘SENQ Breakfast’, Healy had said: “I think if they produce fair Indian wickets, that are good batting wickets, to start with, (that) probably spin and spin pretty consistently but spin a long way, late in the match … we (Australia) win. I’m worried about (Mitchell) Starc and (Nathan) Lyon in the first Test … if they’re unfair wickets which I’ve seen in the last series, where balls were jumping ridiculously and sliding down low from day one, I think India play those conditions better than us,”
