Former Indian cricketer and well-known cricket commentator, Aakash Chopra believes that KL Rahul will score an ODI double hundred in career. Rahul is in red-hot form and many believe that this is the best they have seen him play at the international level. In the last couple of series, KL Rahul has scored runs consistently for India and sent a strong message to fans and selectors that he has finally arrived at the international level.
In the recently concluded T20I series, KL Rahul was at his best and made significant contributions with the bat at the top of the order. He batted freely and scored runs all around the park in his trademark style. Now, he has carried his form in the ODI series and batting at number 5, KL Rahul scored 88 runs off just 64 balls and gave a cracking finish to India’s innings.
KL Rahul smashed 6 gigantic sixes in his innings and sent out a message that he has what it takes to become a good finisher in ODI cricket. Rahul has impressed one and all with his ability to bat down the order. During his innings in the first ODI, Aakash Chopra posted a tweet that generated lots of reactions from the Indian cricket fans. Aakash Chopra tweeted that KL Rahul will score a double hundred in ODI cricket and he asked his followers to save his tweet for future reference.
Here’s what he tweeted:
“Is it illegal for Rahul to hit boundaries today?? Only sixes. Early call—Rahul will score an ODI double-ton in his career. Save this tweet for future brickbats/bouquet,” Aakash Chopra tweeted.

Many fans argued that he won’t be able to score a double hundred batting at number 5, to which Aakash Chopra replied that he doesn’t think that KL Rahul will bat at number 5 for too long.
I genuinely feel that he won’t be batting at 5 for long. India MUST allow him to open soon. Thank You ? https://t.co/baUz7bWxOq
