10 Best Tweets On Maiden ODI Hundred of Shreyas Iyer: After successfully defeating New Zealand in the five-match T20I series, the Indian cricket team is now taking down New Zealand in the ongoing 1st off 3 ODI match in Seddon Park, New Zealand. The Indian cricket team today lacked the presence of the opening duo ‘Hitman’ Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan for the first time after Australia’s ODI as both of them were ruled out because of the injuries.
Asked to bat first, the Indian openers Prithvi Shaw (20) and Mayank Agarwal (32) started the game for India, however, they gave a lukewarm start to the match as they were dismissed early without making it big.
However, the middle-over batsman Shreyas Iyer gave a glimpse of his brilliance with the bat as he went on to score his maiden ODI hundred. The feat. came after 16 ODI matches he played. With 7 fifties to his name, Shreyas Iyer was finally able to pull off his first 3-figure score in international cricket.

Shreyas Iyer walked in to join Indian skipper Virat Kohli on-field, and give India the much-needed momentum. Virat and Shreyas both of them looked in great-form as they both smashed the bowlers to all the corners of the ground.
Shreyas Iyer maintained his form and didn’t let the pressure take over him, after Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring 51 runs off 63 balls. Shreyas then fort with KL Rahul and scored his maiden century in just 101 balls, where he smashed 11 boundaries and a six.
