This conversation between Chahal and Sodhi is winning hearts We’re already loving the internet banter between Sehwag and Taylor and now comes another Twitter conversation that is winning hearts. The latest one is between Yuzvendra Chahal and Ish Sodhi.
This time it’s a Twitter conversation between two spinners who have turned the bowl around to win it for their teams very often. We’re talking about the wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and his Kiwi counterpart, Ish Sodhi. Both of them have had their moments in the ongoing T20 series and New Zealand and India are at par in the series.
The decider is to be played at Trivandrum today and Chahal and Sodhi did something very productive on their long flight to Trivandrum. The spinners had a few games of chess and then took to Twitter to share their moments of chess in the flight.
Maybe you don’t know, Chahal also happens to be a junior chess champion and has represented India in various championships at Asia and World levels. Did you know this? So who won the chess battle?
People call Yuzvendra Chahal a chess champion and now we know that it’s for a reason. Chahal got the better of Sodhi in the first game giving him a ‘check mate’ and initiated the Twitter banter by posting the outcome of the first game.
Yuzvendra Chahal Tweeted, ‘Hard Luck My Brother’ Sodhi then asked for a rematch but the rematch didn’t change the results and Chahal caught him in the trap once again making it 2 nil.

Then Sodhi couldn’t help it but lauded Chahal for his impeccable skills with chess. Chahal again Tweeted and made it public that the score is now 2 nil Sodhi responded quickly and in a Tweet said that it’s a long flight and he still has a chance to chase the lead that Chahal had got.
The chess fascination of Sodhi continued even after reaching the hotel.
Rematch has already happend… fair to say, chess champion for a reason ?? @yuzi_chahal #toogood pic.twitter.com/8cHxbFoXGy

He then Tweeted with a Chess board inviting Chahal for another game and Chahal’s next Tweet wherein he talked about waiting for the 4th game suggests that Chahal did hit a hattrick. This sweet war of chess between the two spinners is winning the Internet.
