BCCI Dedicate A Beautiful Video To Ashish Nehra On His Farewell

Ashish Nehra’s inspiring career is all set to come to a happy ending today at The Feroz Shah Kotla. Last month the stalwart bowler who has served Indian cricket for about 18 long years announced that he would hang his boots. Ashish Nehra announced retirement from all formats including the high drama and lucrative Indian Premier League.

Ashish Nehra is someone who would always be remembered for his simplicity and knack for humour besides his wonders with the ball. Nehra has 44 Test wickets and 157 ODI wickets against his name and years later the 38 year old made a comeback to the side to play the shortest form of the game. Ashish Nehra has represented India in 17 Test matches and 120 ODIs respectively and these numbers are on the lower side because his career has always been surrounded by the dark clouds of injuries. Ashish Nehra was the pioneer of India’s ticket to the 2003 World Cup Finals given his dream fun of form.

His comeback at the age of 38 is a tale of inspiration for every bowler and recently we heard Irfan Pathan talking about how he looks upto Nehra for his national team comeback. Now as Nehra has been given his dream farewell game against the Kiwis at Delhi all Nehra fans are emotional about the occasion and his teammates are in awe of him. His team would surely want to give him a lovely farewell by winning the first T20 for him.
