Was Virat Kohli sick during 4th Test against Australia? Virat’s wife and Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma have made a shocking revelation on social media as she wrote that the batting maestro was sick. Kohli braved sickness and went on to play one of the finest knocks to complete his 28th Test century. He was eventually dismissed after scoring 186 runs in the final session of the day.

Virat Kohli Played A Memorable Knock

Coming out to bat on Day 4, Kohli showed no signs of sickness and he went on to play a memorable knock. Ending his 1205-day wait for a century in the longest format of the game, Kohli slammed his 28th Test ton at the world’s biggest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.

Kohli had resumed his knock after smashing 59 runs on Day 3 of the 4th Test match between India and Australia at Ahmedabad. On Day 4 of the ongoing 4th Test match, Virat extended his patient innings and converted his stunning knock to triple-digit figures before the end of the second session.

After the first half hour of the second session, Kohli scored a memorable century and became the quickest batter to touch the 75-century mark in international cricket. However, the fans didn’t know that he was batting with sickness.

Anushka Sharma Hailed Kohli’s Knock

Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram stories and hailed Kohli for his stunning performance. The actress also revealed that Kohli batted through sickness. She wrote: “Playing through sickness with this composure. Inspiring me always.”

Kohli looked good to register a double century however, he eventually went back to the pavilion after scoring 186 runs off 364 balls, smashing 15 boundaries.  He was caught by Marnus Labuschagne off Todd Murphy in the 179th over.

All thanks to this knock, India put up a strong total of 571 runs to get a 91-run lead despite being one batsman short. For the unversed, Shreyas Iyer is down with a back issue and didn’t come out to bat.
