MS Dhoni Makes A Big Statement About His Return To CSK

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will return to action in the Indian Premier League (IPL), after swerving the two-year ban which was imposed on them by honourable Supreme Court of India.

Both, CSK and RR, are past winners of IPL and their return will surely make the eleventh season even more interesting. Both the franchises have huge fan following and many star players have been a part of their set-ups.

Talking about star players, former Indian captain and one of the most loved Indian cricketers ever, MS Dhoni was the face of Chennai Super Kings for the first eight seasons. Dhoni led CSK in the most emphatic manner and won many trophies for the ‘Yellow Army’ fans.

Dhoni was present at the opening ceremony of the second season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) and he spoke about the excitement among Tamil Nadu people for the return of CSK. Dhoni said that Chennai is his second home and the long wait of fans to see CSK in action is now over.

“I don’t think it can get any better. The crowd has been fantastic. They have given unconditional love and affection… I always say Chennai is my second home. I think the yellow is pretty special and I think we have done well in the yellow. I would definitely like to congratulate CSK for their return and next year you will be watching them play here. The long wait is over.

Dhoni also added that “we” i.e. CSK didn’t play for two years but this hasn’t had any impact on the fan following. In fact, the support is even bigger and better. It is noteworthy that Dhoni addressed CSK as “we” and this is a clear give away that he will be seen in his famous ‘yellow’ jersey in the next season of Indian Premier League.

“We were not here for two years, but our fan following has grown in the last two years. They have stayed with us and the love and affection was always there. It will get amplified when CSK return to play their first game over here,” he added.
