IPL 2022: MS Dhoni Gave Special Batting Tips To Rajvardhan Hangargekar

Young Colt in Yellove: MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad are sweating it out at Surat ahead of the upcoming 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The men in yellow hit the nets where U-19 World Cup star Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Ambati Rayudu, KM Asif were spotted working hard along with their captain.

After enduring a successful and memorable campaign with the Yash Dhull-led Team India side at the U-19 ICC World Cup 2022 in the Caribbean, youngster Rajvardhan Hangargekar was bought by Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2022. He was recruited by the Chennai-based franchise for a whopping amount of INR 1.5 crore at the mega auction of the cash-rich league.

IPL 2022: MS Dhoni Gave Special Batting Tips To Rajvardhan Hangargekar

Hangargekar had a good outing in the nets session. He was seen in action, hitting big sixes and taking tips from CSK captain MS Dhoni.

In the video shared by the Chennai Super Kings via their official YouTube channel, the rising young talent showcased his bowling and batting skills in one of Chennai’s training sessions at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.

As the net practice began, there was a warmup session after which the under-19 star was seen flexing his bowling skills. He then had a conversation with the fielding coach Rajiv Kumar, following which he picked the bat and smashed some stunning shots.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings will defend their title this season having won IPL 2021 in the UAE. The MS Dhoni-led CSK will be playing their first match of IPL 2022 against Kolkata Knight Riders in the season opener at the Wankhede Stadium on March 26.
