Punjab Kings‘ Liam Livingstone gave a big, loud send-off to Lucknow Super Giants‘ young batsman Ayush Badoni after dismissing the young batter after he’d hit him for a six.
In the 14th over of LSG’s innings, with all the bowlers being smoked for runs in Mohali by Badoni and Stoinis, PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan turned toward his golden arm Livingstone. Badoni took no exception to Livingstone’s leg/off-spin and clattered a slog-swept six over square leg.
The Englishman, however, had the last laugh, and his revenge, as Badoni, on the very next ball, was caught in the deep. Badoni went for another shot in the legside, but this time found the deep backward square leg fielder, Rahul Chahar, near the boundary and got out for 43 runs off 24 balls.
Liam Livingstone won the battle against the youngster and was elated with the wicket of the settled batsman. He had a big laugh on his face and was beaming with happiness at the departure of Badoni; perhaps because of a plan coming to fruition. Liam Livingstone gave Badoni a loud send-off and there seemed to be some tension between the two.
The banter between the two had grown earlier in the over when first Liam Livingstone pulled off his delivery stride after seeing Badoni switch to reverse stance and then Badoni pulled out the next time. Thus, Liam Livingstone had such a big reaction after he dismissed Badoni.

There was little respite for the PBKS bowlers today as the LSG batters stormed in Mohali today. Kyle Mayers cracked 54 off 24 and took LSG’s total to 74 in the powerplay. After Mayers’ blitz in the powerplay, it was about to get even worse for PBKS.
Ayush Badoni scored 43 runs off 24 balls and was involved in a big partnership of 89 (47) with Marcus Stoinis, who raised a fifty. Stoinis was then involved in another gigantic stand with Nicholas Pooran worth 76 (30). Both the batters smothered the ball with utter disdain and the PBKS bowlers all around the park: Stoinis scored 72 off 40 and Pooran scored 45 off 19 as LSG became only the second team to cross the 250-mark in the IPL. They, however, fel l only 6 runs short of RCB’s highest total of 263 runs.
