Nitish Rana Made A Blunder And Made SRK Angry: When Kolkata Knight Riders started their campaign in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League they were looking dangerous, having picked up two sensational wins in the first three games of the ongoing season, however, things have changed drastically now. After suffering defeat in four matches in a row, KKR has languished in the bottom half of the table. Amidst this, KKR captain Nitish Rana has come under the scanner for his decisions.

In the game against Gujarat Titans, Nitish Rana made another blunder and he was lambasted on social media for doing a bizarre experiment.

Nitish Rana Made A Bizarre Mistake

After being asked to bat first at the Eden Gardens, KKR openers s Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Jagadeesan got the team off to a brisk start. The latter played a quickfire knock, smashing four boundaries in his 19-ball 15 before Mohammed Shami gave his side a much-needed breakthrough.

As Jagadeesan walked back to the pavilion, fans were expecting Venkatesh Iyer to walk in next or someone like Andre Russell could have been sent in, but KKR surprised everyone with their decision.

To everyone’s surprise, Shardul Thakur walked out to bat at number 3. It has to be noted that Shardul has never batted so high in his T20 career. The highest position that he has batted at is number 4 during the IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 match between CSK and DC in Dubai where he ended up with a golden duck.

He suffered the same fate on Saturday Shardul faced a delivery of Shami for no run before Gurbaz took on Hardik Pandya and Shami to smash boundaries all around the ground. Shardul returned to bat in the 5th over of the game.

He tried to hit a straight delivery from Shami over the mid-on fielder, but the ball went too high in the air. Mohit Sharma, who was standing at the mid-on position, kept running back and judged the catch to perfection. Eventually, he departed for a four-ball duck as KKR’s experiment failed.

KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan wouldn’t be happy with the decision of Nitish Rana as it backfired badly for the side.
