Kohli, who is currently plying his trade for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, received a warm welcome on Lucknow’s home ground on Monday during the clash against Lucknow Super Giants.

While the fans present at the ground made sure to make Kohli’s visit to Lucknow even more special by chanting his name throughout the game, however, there was a lucky fan, who received a warm hug from his idol – Virat Kohli.

The heart-touching incident took place in the second half of the match when Kohli was fielding. Just after the 7th over of LSG’s innings, a fan invaded the pitch and managed to get close to the India superstar. As soon as he reached close to Kohli, he touched his feet.

And in a heart-touching moment, Kohli patted the fan on his back and also gave him a warm hug. The fan was absolutely delighted with the reaction of Kohli as he walked off with both his arms extended. The video of the incident has gone crazily viral on the internet and has left everyone in awe.

Talking about the game, RCB had a nightmare with the bat after winning the toss and batting first. After Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis’ 62-run stand was broken by the masterpiece delivery by Ravi Bishnoi. Following this, the wickets kept falling and RCB could only post a total of 126 on the scoreboard. Du Plessis was the top scorer with a 40-ball 44.

Later, RCB bowlers did commendable work with the ball and stopped LSG from chasing the target. RCB eventually won the game by 18 runs.
