The IPL 2023 has crossed its halfway stage and is entering into its business end of the season where each game could have a big impact on the eventual standing of the teams. The 10-team IPL 2023 season will see the top 4 qualify for the playoffs with the top 2 getting an extra chance to fail and reach the final.
The IPL 2023 tournament has mostly been dominated by the batters so far with teams piling up a record number of 200-plus totals, including Lucknow Super Giants smashing 257 against Punjab Kings, the second-highest IPL total ever.
There have, though, also been some batters who have failed to open their mark in a few matches, and on multiple times.
In an interesting list, we look at the batsman with most ducks in IPL 2023:

KKR batsman Sunil Narine the been dismissed for a duck 3 times in IPL 2023, the most for any batsman so far as of May 2nd. Narin, in fact, also has the joint-most number of ducks in the IPL history – 15.
Narine has not reached double figures is any of his 7 innings so far in the IPL 2023 season.
Narine’s first duck came against Gujarat Titans’ Rashid Khan. The left-hander swept a Rashid googly but was caught at deep mid-wicket. In the next game, against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Narine was promoted up in the order, but again got out without opening his account, caught by Aiden Markram and deceived by the movement of the ball from Marco Jansen.
A couple of innings later, Chennai Super Kings’ Akash Singh bowled a brilliant ball to rattle Narine’s stumps, handing the left-hander his third duck of the season.
Overall, Sunil Narine has managed just 13 runs in 7 innings!

There are 5 more matches left in the league stage for KKR – they are unlikely to proceed through to the playoffs – so Narine would want to add more runs to his tally but he might, given his attacking nature of batting, attain more ducks.
There are 10 other batters behind Narine with two ducks each in the IPL 2023 so far. This list of batters with 2 ducks includes the Delhi Capitals trio of Phil Salt, Prithvi Shaw, and Mitchell Marsh and also openers Jos Buttler and Kyle Mayers along with ultra-aggressive batters Prabhsimaran Singh and Sanju Samson.
