Rajasthan Royals head coach Kumar Sangakkara was furious and unhappy with the dispiriting cricket his side played against Gujarat Titans in their heavy loss in Jaipur.
After deciding to bat first in Jaipur, Rajasthan got off to a good start with 47 for 1 after five overs but lost their way against the Afghanistan spin duo Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad, the duo picking up 5/39 between them, and got bowled out for 118.
Kumar Sangakkara blasted the RR players for their “piss poor” batting.

With little to defend, the bowlers took only 1 wicket and GT chased 119 down in 13.5 overs, leading Kumar Sangakkara to say it was a very “embarrassing” loss. The Rajasthan Royals uploaded the video of Kumar Sangakkara’s dressing room speech on their YouTube channel.
“I know everyone’s hurting. The reality of it is, we played a piss poor game. The shi**iest cricket that we can play, and we did that. Alright?” an enraged Kumar Sangakkara said.
“Thinking about what happened today… the only thing you want to do is learn from it. It was embarrassing. What the fans are going to think, what the points table is showing… it doesn’t change the quality of our side just because we played an absolutely poor game. Accept it first. You want to learn, you have to accept that you weren’t good enough. Gujarat outplayed us, but that’s only this day. We have one day to recover, we can keep talking about mistakes we can learn from.
“How do we solve challenges that we face in the middle? How do we get ready for Sunrisers game? How do we play a really good game? That’s all you guys have to think about. Nothing else,” he added.
