Ravindra Jadeja Liked A Controversial Tweet Against CSK Fans

Chennai Super Kings dished out yet another clinical performance last night as they defeated Delhi Capitals at the Chepauk Stadium on Wednesday to inch closer to the IPL 2023 playoffs. Ravindra Jadeja gave a stunning all-around performance and won the Player of the Match award for the same.

Jadeja picked up a solitary wicket and also played a crucial knock of 21 runs in 16 balls as CSK defeated DC by 27 runs. CSK captain MS Dhoni also played a powerful performance as he took his fans on a trip down memory lane by smashing two big sixes and a four.

Ravindra Jadeja has been batting well ever since he returned back from his injury. He has been in red-hot form in the ongoing season, having picked up 16 wickets in 12 matches he played so far. With the bat, he hasn’t got many chances to showcase his skills. In eight innings of the 12 matches, he has amassed a total of 113 runs.

Meanwhile, later, after the game against DC, Jadeja finally broke his silence on batting ahead of the crowd favorite Thala, who has come out to bat in the final stages of the game, playing the role of a finisher.

Notably, fans go berserk every time Jadeja gets out because his wicket makes way for Dhoni’s entry into the ground.

Speaking to former India spinner Murali Kartik during the post-match presentation, Jadeja said that he is happy to bat at No. 7 for CSK in the IPL 2023 because if he bats higher up the order, then the fans will pray for him to get out so that Dhoni can come out to bat. He said:

“I keep hearing Mahi bhai’s chants. If I bat higher, then the crowd will wait for me to get out. As long as the team wins, I am happy,”

While Jadeja said all of this will a smile on his face, however, a Twitter user posted Jadeja’s photo and mentioned that he said all these words with a lot of pain in his chest. The Twitter user wrote:

Jaddu saying this with a smile but lot of pain inside… Belive me it’s a trauma ! Imagine your own team spectators not supporting you waiting for your wicket! Still criticizing you even after winning 3 man of the matches ! @imjadejayou are prince of@ChennaiIPL❤️🛐”
