India’s young pacer Prasidh Krishna stole all the limelight with his fiery spell against Jammu & Kashmir. He starred with a six-wicket haul as he helped his side Karnataka to rip apart Jammu & Kashmir in the first innings of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match on Friday.
Chasing a total of 302 runs, built around Karun Nair’s 175, the J&K batters failed miserably to stand up to Krishna’s challenge. The Karnataka-based cricket team extended their overall lead to 337 runs after demolishing the opposition for 93 runs on the second day of the four-day match.
Krishna, who recently impressed everyone with his stint with the Indian ODI team, helped his side bundle up the opposition out in just 29.5 overs.
Prasidh might look fiery with the ball but he is always calm in his head. During the game, Prasidh sent down 12 successive overs without dropping in pace. He finished the game with the figures of 12-1-35-6. He removed Qamran Iqbal first and then dismissed Shubham Singh Pundir (5) and Wadhawan in quick succession before Shreyas Gopal got into the act and dismissed captain Ian Dev Singh for a duck.
J&K was reeling at 75 for seven when Prasidh had Abdul Samad (3) caught behind by B R Sharath. Following this, Vidhyadhar Patil (2/10) and K Gowtham (1/5) picked up the last three wickets and folded the innings quickly for J&K.

Prasidh Krishna with a six-for.
As I have noted before he seems to be best suited for the longest format, especially certain conditions. The bounce factor.
Second is the ODI format and then T20s.
Yes, he may improve as a T20 bowler.
