Over a week after India’s humiliating defeat against Australia at the ICC World Test Championship in England, India’s batting superstar Virat Kohli has resumed his training as he gears up for the upcoming challenges.

Virat Kohli was expected to perform well in the WTC Final 2023, considering his brilliant run in the IPL 2023, where he smashed two stunning centuries. However, he failed to convert them into a big number as he couldn’t do much in both innings, scoring just 14 and 49.

Virat Kohli Shared A Cryptic Message

Team India eventually suffered a 209-run defeat at The Oval. With the upcoming series against West Indies in sight, Kohli has returned to the gym to sweat it out. He also shared a cryptic message.

Virat Kohli often shares his workout videos rigorously with his fans. On Monday, he took to his social media and shared a picture of himself from the gym. Sharing the picture, Kohli wrote:

“Look for excuses or look to get better”

Meanwhile, Kohli will be eyeing a personal milestone during the Windies tour. So far, he has scored 822 runs in 14 Tests against West Indies. He only needs 188 more runs to become just the 11th Indian cricketer to score 1000 or more runs against them.

Batting legend Sunil Gavaskar holds the record for the most runs in India vs West Indies Test history having scored 2749 runs in 27 games.

Virat Kohli had a fruitful time in IPL 2023, during which he smashed back-to-back centuries. He accumulated 639 runs from 14 innings at 53.25 and a decent strike rate of 139.82. He would be hoping to continue with his brilliant form, especially with the ODI World Cup 2023 just a few months away.
