New Zealand vs India: Ranchi Gave An Unbelievable Welcome To Their Hero MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni made his presence felt, along with wife Sakshi, in the JSCA International Stadium Complex, in Ranchi on Friday when India took on New Zealand in the first match of the 3-T20I series.

The former India captain MS Dhoni wore a white t-shirt while Sakshi donned a sari and the couple sat side by side in the VIP box of the stadium which also has a stand named after the legendary Indian captain: MS Dhoni Pavilion sparkles brightly in the JSCA stadium in Ranchi.

The camera crew made their mission to sow MS Dhoni as regularly as they could throughout the game. First, Dhoni was captured during the national anthems ahead of the start of play.

Later on, when the camera caught him seated, they showed him on the big screen to the delight of the entire crowd in the stadium and also Dhoni’s billions fans watching from their homes.

As soon as Dhoni was shown on the giant screen in the stadium, the Ranchi crowd erupted with cheers, and soon followed the chants of “Dhoni Dhoni”. The 41-year-old CSK captain responded the crowd with a wave of his hand while Sakshi beamed with a smile.

The BCCI uploaded the video of his terrific moment involving MS Dhoni on their Instagram handle.

“MSD + Ranchi = 🤩 The Ranchi crowd welcomes the legendary @mahi7781 in style,” the BCCI captioned their post.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to field first in Ranchi, citing the dew factor.
