MS Dhoni’s Old Job Offer Letter Got Leaked On Social Media, His Salary Was…

MS Dhoni’s Job Offer Contract From 2012 Goes Viral: MS Dhoni, a prominent figure in world cricket, boasts an astounding net worth of Rs 1040 crore. Every year, the Indian Premier League (IPL) significantly boosts his income. Yet, there was a time when this high-earning cricketer was handed an unconventional job offer. This letter of employment is currently making rounds on social media, much to everyone’s astonishment.

Since the Indian Premier League’s inception in 2008, MS Dhoni has been the steadfast captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Year after year, CSK has sealed multi-crore deals with Dhoni, ensuring he stays at the helm. However, the revelation of a job offer from a cement company in 2012 is causing a stir.

The viral document in question is an offer letter, which India Cements, a firm linked to Dhoni, issued to him. The proposition was for the role of Vice President within the company, catching many fans off guard. The surprising part isn’t the job offer itself but the remuneration. The legendary cricketer’s monthly salary, according to the offer letter, was a modest Rs 43,000.

Dated July 2012, the contract specified Dhoni’s role as Vice President (Marketing) at India Cements’ Chennai head office. The remuneration breakdown included a Dearness Allowance of Rs 21,970 and a Special Pay of Rs 20,000. Additional perks featured in the letter were an Enhanced House Rent Allowance (HRA) of Rs 20,400 in Chennai, a Special HRA varying between Rs 8,400 and Rs 8,000 based on location, a Special Allowance of Rs 60,000 per month, and an allowance for Education/Newspaper Expenses of Rs 175.

What’s particularly noteworthy is that India Cements is owned by billionaire N Srinivasan, also the owner of Dhoni’s IPL team, CSK. The year Dhoni received the Rs 43,000 job offer coincides with the year CSK retained him for a whopping Rs 8.82 crore. This remarkable contrast in figures is what’s sparking interest among netizens.

Interestingly, the offer letter surfaced on social media thanks to Lalit Modi, the former IPL chief. Modi, now banned by both the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) due to corruption charges, is responsible for bringing this intriguing bit of history to light.

All in all, the tale of MS Dhoni’s job offer is a fascinating insight into the life of one of cricket’s highest-paid players. The juxtaposition of Dhoni’s IPL earnings and the meagre job offer serves as a reminder of his impressive journey. Despite the modest offer, Dhoni’s commitment to his sport, as well as his leadership in IPL, underlines his passion for cricket, overshadowing any monetary values.
