Bhuvneshwar Kumar Dropped A Big Hint About His Retirement

It has to be noted, that it was January 2022 when Bhuvneshwar Kumar last played an ODI game for India, which was against South Africa in Paarl. He went wicketless in his 8 overs quota in that game. Ever since then, he has been sidelined from the ODI squad because of poor form and injuries.
According to several reports floating around on social media, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is likely to announce his retirement from international cricket after upcoming India vs Ireland series. The reports also claimed that Ashwin can also hang his boots from limited-overs cricket.
Bhuvi was also part of the T20 World Cup squad in November 2022, where he played four games and took three wickets. He last played a T20 game against New Zealand in Napier, where he went wicketless in his four overs quota. He was also ignored for the T20I series against West Indies.
Though, he made a decent comeback in the 2023 IPL edition, where he claimed 16 wickets in 14 games for SunRisers Hyderabad at an economy rate of 8.83. Besides being the best bowler for SRH in that season, he was the only player in the squad, who featured in every game for the team.
But his absence from the Indian cricket team has been felt badly, especially in the white-ball formats, where he was once a key player for the pace attack. He has played 21 Tests, 121 ODIs, and 87 T20Is for India, taking 63, 141, and 90 wickets respectively.
Meanwhile, fans and followers of Bhuvi have voiced their worry and interest in his choice to change his Instagram bio. Check out the reactions of fans:
