Pakistan cricketer Iftikhar Ahmad has slammed a social media user that propagated false information regarding his remarks about the Indian cricket team.
Well, a few days ago, a Twitter user shared a Tweet falsely attributing a quote to Iftikhar, where the Pakistan batter had compared the Indian players to street children. The fabricated quote read:
“Whenever we face India, it’s as if we’re playing against street children.”
The Tweet went viral and the quote sparked outrage from the Indian fans, who slammed the Pakistani batter left, right, and center.

However, it turned out that Iftikhar Ahmad never made that statement. He took to his Twitter and refute the claim. He called out the user for spreading wrong information and for promoting hate.
In his Tweet, Iftikhar also appealed to Elon Musk to ban the account responsible for the misleading post. He wrote:
“I’ve been made aware of this statement which I’ve never made. In fact, no professional cricketer will make such a statement. Please stop circulating false news & report this individual for spreading hate.
@X @elonmusk please ban this account as people are misusing the blue tick.”
