Dhanashree Verma Shared A Cryptic Post After Yuzvendra Chahal Got Snubbed From India’s Squad For Asia Cup 2023

On Monday, the BCCI finally revealed its formidable 17-member squad for the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2023. While the board tried to present a well-balanced squad, however, they missed out on an important name, which has sparked debate in the Indian cricket fraternity. India’s wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s non-inclusion in the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 has become one of the most talked about topics on social media, as many are citing it as a big mistake.

No Place For Yuzvendra Chahal

Over the years, Yuzvendra Chahal has become an integral part of the Indian cricket team in the limited-overs format. However, he has been ignored for an all-important tournament.  Prasidh Krishna was chosen as the fifth seam bowling option. Besides Krishna, the selectors went ahead with the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav as the premier spin bowling options for the continental tournament.

It has to be noted that Chahal was also benched for all three games of the ODI series against the West Indies. The senior leg-spinner has played only two ODIs so far this year.

Meanwhile, reacting to Chahal’s non-selection, his wife Dhanashree Verma, who is very active on social media, has shared a cryptic post. In her post, Dhanashree questioned if being an introvert can hinder an individual’s career growth. She wrote:

Now I have started to question this on a serious note. If being super submissive & introvert can be harmful for your work growth? Or do we all have to be an extrovert & street smart savvy to grow in life?”
