Venkatesh Prasad Shared A Picture With Suniel Shetty After Praying For KL Rahul

Former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad, who has time and again openly criticized Indian keeper-batter KL Rahul for his performances and poor form, is hoping for star batter’s return to peak form.

On Monday, KL Rahul was named in Team India’s 17-man squad for the upcoming continental event which is scheduled to get underway on August 30 in Multan. Surprisingly, Rahul has made it to the squad for Asia Cup despite having a niggle.

It has to be noted that KL Rahul has been out of action for four months but he is now all set to return to the Indian side. Rahul had undergone surgery in Germany for the same, because of which he had to miss the second half of the IPL 2023. But the talented batter is expected to return for the 2nd or 3rd game of the Asia Cup.

Because of the niggle, KL Rahul will have to miss the opening clash of India’s campaign in Asia Cup 2023 which is against arch-rival Pakistan. While he has been selected for the marquee tournament, Agarkar confirmed that he will miss high-voltage India vs Pakistan clash of the Asia Cup. Yes, he is expected to return for the 2nd or 3rd game of the Asia Cup. As a precaution, Sanju Samson has also been named as the traveling reserve.

A Day after the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2023 was announced, Venkatesh Prasad took to his Twitter and shared a picture of himself with Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, who is also the father-in-law of KL Rahul. Sharing the picture, Prasad said that he wants Rahul to silence his critics in the World Cup. He wrote:
