The fans were left furious and frustrated as the majority of them were unable to book tickets for the India vs Pakistan match in World Cup 2023 due to the poor service offered by BookMyShow.
BookMyShow is the ticketing partner of the BCCI for selling World Cup 2023. The first batch of tickets for India matches went live on Tuesday, August 29, evening at 6 PM sharp on the BookMyShow app and website.
However, most of the fans were first put up in a queue and then within a couple of minutes, the vendor showed that the tickets have been sold out. This created panic and chaos among the fans; many fans have also booked flight and hotel tickets at exorbitant prices around India vs Pakistan matchday, which is 14th October in Ahmedabad, and were optimistic that they will be able to get hold of tickets for the match.
However, with the first batch of tickets showing it’s sold out, fans were left feeling angry and annoyed with BookMyShow. The BookMyShow app got crashed, its website got hanged, and there was only irritation and anger seething from the fans for such a poor management by the BCCI and BookMyShow’s service.

India-Pakistan to contest in Asia Cup 2023
Meanwhile, India and Pakistan are set to resume their rivalry on the cricket field in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The two arch-rivals will meet on September 2 in Kandy for their Group A match. They are likely to proceed to the next round, knocking out Nepal, and would then meet again on September 10 in Colombo. The If the two team come top 2 in the Super 4 round, then they will meet in the Asia Cup final as well, on September 17.
The blockbuster World Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan is slated for September 14 in Ahmedabad.
