The Indian keeper-batter Sanju Samson provided a big update about his health after a day he was ruled out of the rest of the Sri Lanka series. Sanju Samson, who played his first T20I match for India in four months, hurt his knee in the series opener against the Islanders in Mumbai. The Kerala star player has suffered a niggle in his knee and has reportedly not traveled to Pune with the rest of the Indian squad.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Samson had been ruled out from the series. In a statement, the BCCI said, “Team India wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson has been ruled out of the remainder of the 3-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Samson hurt his left knee while attempting to field a ball near the boundary ropes during the 1st T20I at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.”
The statement added: “He was taken for scans and a specialist opinion this afternoon in Mumbai by the BCCI Medical Team and has been advised rest and rehabilitation,”
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Sanju Samson took to his social media and gave a big update about his health. Samson shared a picture of himself and stated that the injury is not that serious and he should be back very soon. He wrote: “All is well… Z u zoooon.“

Meanwhile, wicket-keeper batter Jitesh Sharma has replaced Samson in the squad. Jitesh has been nothing short of sensational in the T20 format in 2022 whether in the IPL or in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Talking about Samson, he had an off-day during India’s 1st T20I match against Sri Lanka. He failed to fire up with the bat and was caught out after scoring only 5 runs. He also made a couple of mistakes while fielding too.
