Fans Trolls India’s Orange Training Kit With “Swiggy Delivery Boys” Memes

The Indian cricket team revealed its orange-colored training kits for the World Cup 2023 on Thursday. As England and New Zealand kick-started the tournament in Ahmedabad, Team India players, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, charged into the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for their practice session.

India will take on Australia on October 8 in Chennai to get their campaign underway.

The orange-colored kit of the Indian players which they will be using for training became the talk of the town on Thursday. Fans pointed out that this orange color resembled that to the Swiggy company, which is a food delivery service very common and famous in India.

Some fans taunted the Team India players that when they stand in a group, they look like the Swiggy delivery boys.

Team India got trolled with funny memes by fans for their orange-colored training kit:

In the captain’s press conference, Rohit Sharma talked about the huge amount of pressure on his team – not only because India are the host nation, and the last three ODI World Cups were won by the host nation, but also because India haven’t won an ICC trophy for 10 years now.

“I know what’s at stake,” he said. “For us, it’s just about taking everything out now and just focusing on what we want to do as a team. Not worry about the expectations, because that’s always going to be there; not worry about who we’re playing; and not worry about what is happening elsewhere. It’s time now for us to be secluded a little bit, and then focus on what we want to do as a team.”

“Any big event that is supposed to happen in the county, people get really excited. And cricket being the biggest sport in India, I’m not surprised by the excitement that people have… it is spread across the entire country. Anywhere you go, the talk is about the World Cup.”
