Veteran Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra has been rocking up the Twitter platform with his hilarious tweets and savage replies in the past year and more. Mishra has become a cult figure with his social media antics and is giving the likes of Wasim Jaffer a run for his money when it comes to making headlines with his tweets.

Amongst the latest of Mishra’s daily-epics on Twitter, the 39-year-old former Delhi Capitals spinner sent 500 INR to a fan who asked for 300 INR to take his girlfriend out for a date!

On Thursday, Amit Mishra hailed Suresh Raina for his acrobatic catch during the ongoing Road Safety World Series T20 tournament. Raina took a stunning catch of Australia Legend batsman Ben Dunk. On a delivery from Abhimanyu Mithun, Dunk smashed hard, but Raina flew in the air while fielding at point to take a terrific catch.

Amit Mishra took to Twitter to eulogise Raina’s fielding saying that he’d love to get a time machine to see Raina’s fielding again from his younger days. Under this tweet, one user, with the name Aditya Kumar Singh, for some reason, asked Mishra to send some money, INR 300 he said, so that he can take his girlfriend for a date. The user also left his UPI id.

Amit Mishra took notice of this fan’s request and duly sent him, and instead of the 300 asked by Aditya, Mishra sent him INR 500 and gave him best wishes for his date.

“Done, all the best for your date,” tweeted Mishra with a snapshot of the UPI payment.

Twitterati was left stumped with Amit Mishra’s generous donation to the fan.

Here is Amit Mishra’s tweet:

Embarrassingly, Aditya then deleted his tweet.

Amit Mishra last featured in a competitive game during the IPL 2021 when he was with Delhi Capitals before being released. He had played in 22 Tests, 36 ODIs and 10 T20Is for India between 2003 and 2017 taking a total of 156 wickets.
