Australia’s star opener David Warner was sacked as the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad during the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. The star cricketer was made the scapegoat for the team’s poor performance. Not just he was removed as the skipper of the team but was also left out of the Playing XI for the majority of the season.
He wasn’t even included in the extended squad, which means that he wasn’t even allowed to travel with the team to the stadium and enjoy the match from the dugout.
Ever since his fallout with the franchise, Warner has been very vocal about the same on social media. Earlier, the assistant coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad Brad Haddin had admitted that the decision to drop the Australian opener from the team’s playing XI had nothing to do with cricket. If reports are to be believed, then the franchise is all set to release Warner ahead of the mega auction.
However, David Warner has been a fan favorite at the Orange Army and the fans have been urging the owners to retain the Australian opener ahead of the new season on social media.
Recently, David Warner gave a strong indication possible to his departure from the Hyderabad-based franchise with a reply to a fan on Instagram. Well, replying to a post by a fan page of SRH, the fan wrote: “Tom moody head coach, warner captain.”
Warner was quick to notice the comment and come up with a reply to it. In his reply, Warner gave a strong reply, crushing the hopes of many. He wrote: “No Thanks”
