What an absolutely amazing knock by Punjab Kings‘ skipper KL Rahul, who led his side from the front and helped the team reach a whopping target of 221 runs against Rajasthan Royals. While it was heartbreaking to see him walk away with only 9 runs short to his maiden century of IPL 2021, however, his powerful knock of just 50 balls surely got everyone excited.
Before the match began at the Wankhede Stadium, the toss was won by the new skipper of RR, Sanju Samson, who chose to bowl first. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal walked out to open the innings for Punjab Kings and gave a solid start to their team. However, it was the performance of Deepak Hooda that stole the show.
