Cricket is not just a sport in India, it’s more like an unofficial religion. Like every other religion, cricket also has its own gods and demigods. Fans are crazy about their player and favorite team, for whom they can go to any extent. One of India’s greatest ever cricketers MS Dhoni enjoys a huge fan following across the world. Time and again, we have seen people going the extra mile to get noticed once by the former Indian skipper.

Recently, another fan hogged all the limelight after he literally went the extra mile to meet Dhoni. Well, a fan named Ajay Gill, who is just 18-years-old and a barber by profession in Hisar, walked 1,400 km from his village Jalan Kheda in the Hisar district of Haryana to meet his idol Dhoni Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi. However, to his dismay, the fan couldn’t meet the Chennai Super Kings ‘Thala’.

A Fan Walked 1400 KMs To Meet MS Dhoni

As per Gill, he wanted to meet MS Dhoni for only 10 minutes for which he walked for 16 days since July 29. The fan was waiting outside the farmhouse of MS Dhoni when he caught the attention of passersby in Ranchi because of his look.

What caught everyone’s attention was his hair that was colored yellow, orange, dark blue, and light blue – the CSK colors -and had “Dhoni” written on one side and his nickname “Mahi” on the other side. However, the fan couldn’t meet his idol as Dhoni is not in Ranchi currently and is currently in Dubai with the CSK squad for the upcoming second-leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

But the fan was adamant about staying out and waiting for Dhoni till his return. As per a report, a young businessman convinced him to return back to his home as Dhoni wouldn’t be back for the next three months. Not just this, the businessman also booked a flight ticket to Delhi for Gill.

Such is Dhoni’s aura and this is the extent to which his fans can actually go to just catch a glimpse of ‘Thala‘.
