After having put to bat first on the opening day of the ongoing second test match between India and England, the Indian opening batsmen Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul gave an impressive start to their team. The duo troubled the England bowlers in the first hour of the ongoing Test at the iconic Lord’s Stadium.

The Hitman Sharma was seen in a beast mode today as he defended the first hour and then was seen smashing the England bowlers to a flurry of boundaries to take his side to 46 for no loss in a rain-soaked afternoon.

Both the openers displayed impressive technique and appreciable temperament as they handled the new ball spells of James Anderson and Ollie Robinson. Though Rohit initially started off to a cautious star but soon he gained pace and slammed four stunning boundaries in a single over by Sam Curran, while KL Rahul is playing the crucial role of an anchor.

However, a brief spell of the shower was witnessed at Lord’s and an early lunch was taken. While going towards the dressing room, Rohit Sharma was seen hiding his bat inside his shirt in order to protect it from rain.
