The Indian Premier League is one of the most loved and popular leagues around the world.  The IPL is a perfect blend of top-class competitive cricket and a high dosage of glamour. Every year we see cricketers coming from all around the world to take part in the most glamorous T20 tournament in the world.

Despite, IPL being one of the most loved tournaments around the world, it has always been on the radar of critics. Time and again several people around the world have called IPL the most corrupt league and have blamed it for being fixed.

Infact, IPL was heavily criticized when Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned for two years because of their involvement in match-fixing. But why are we talking about it now?

Well, as the fans around the world enjoyed the opening clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, a fan on social media started the ‘IPL is fixed or not’ debate on social media once again. It happened after a twitter user named Prernaa asked why people think IPL is fixed and it triggered a debate on social media. Prernaa wrote:

“Why people think IPL is fixed? Why will kohli or rohit will lose a match intentionally? Noooo…I don’t think soooo….”

The tweet soon attracted a lot of attention from social media and was welcomed with mixed and interesting responses from the fans on it. While there were many who believed in the theory that ‘IPL is fixed’, on the other hand, there were many who expressed their love for the cash-rich tournament.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

Any match can be fixed by one or two player but not by whole team so who are thinking like this then they should not watch Cricket?
