A Journalist England Revealed Why Rishabh Pant’s Approach Is Right For The Moment

A Journalist England Revealed Why Rishabh Pant’s Approach Is Right For The Moment: Emotions are riding high as the Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team is currently locking its horns against the Kiwis in the ongoing World Test Championship’s final at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton. The World Test Championship’s Final was forced into the reserve day after the rain-affected the play days. Two full days – Friday and Monday- were washed out because of the rain, bringing into play the reserve day.

On day 5 of the WTC final, India were 64 for 2 in their 2nd innings, leading the game by 32 runs after dismissing New Zealand for 249 with Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara at the crease. However, the duo couldn’t give a solid start to the game as they both were dismissed in quick successions.

Following their dismissal, Rishabh Pant walked out to bat with a lot of pressure on his shoulders. However, looking at his game seems like Pant has perfectly soaked in all the pressure as he looks focused while tackling the dangerous New Zealand bowlers.

Rishabh Pant is playing very cleverly, especially against Neil Wagner by coming out of his crease in every other ball to counter-attack Wagner’s length.

Meanwhile, a popular journalist from England, named Freddie Wilde, who is very active on social media, took to his Twitter and explained why the approach of Rishabh Pant in the ongoing match is right at the moment. In his tweet, Freddie Wilde hailed Pant as the best-attacking batsman of this generation and claimed that there’s logic in his approach. He wrote:

“The best thing about this Pant innings is you can make a good argument that it is in fact India’s best route to safety. Time matters, yes; but runs buy India time. Pant is one of the best attacking batsmen of this generation. There’s logic to his approach. #INDvNZ #WTC21″
