The Indian cricket team is currently locking its horns against the Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka cricket team in the ongoing Pink-ball Test match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Before the match kickstarted, captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. He walked out to open the innings for team India with Mayank Agarwal.

However, both the openers failed to give India a flying start as they were dismissed early in the first session. While, Mayank was dismissed after scoring only 4 runs, on the other hand, Rohit also failed to make it big with the bat. He was dismissed for 15 runs off 25 balls. During his short knock, the Indian captain smashed a four and a six.

In the meantime, an unfortunate incident took place on the ground Rohit’s short stay at the crease before Rohit was dismissed by Lasith Embuldeniya.

Well during his short knock, Rohit unintentionally hit a fan with one of his sixes in the ongoing Pink-ball Test match. The six over deep midwicket by the Indian captain hit a spectator’s nose. The fan was immediately given first aid, following which he was moved to Hosmat Hospital for an x-ray.

The news of the same was confirmed by a journalist named Manuja Veerappa via her official Twitter account. In her Tweet, Manuja shared the details of Rohit’s shot that hit the fan’s nose. She wrote:

“The Rohit Sharma six over deep midwicket hit a spectator’s nose. After first aid, he has been moved to Hosmat Hospital for an X-ray. #INDvsSL #PinkBallTest”
