Cricket is one of the most loved sports all around the world. However, when it comes to India, there’s no denying the fact that we Indians treat cricket more like a religion. The sport doesn’t have more passionate fans than the Indians. Well, the Indians are so crazy for cricket, that they can even cancel their honeymoon.

Yes, you read that right. According to the survey carried out by a digital travel platform, 42 percent of Indian fans would cancel their honeymoon, if the match is being clashed with their preferred team or their favorite cricketer is playing a big game.

According to the report, 44 percent of Indian fans feel that they will see their national cricket team or their favorite cricketer win an international tournament within the next year. The global percentage for the same is 34.

It was also found out that the cricket fans are the most optimistic, followed by football fans as they were asked when their favorite team will win the international game. The answers were very positive.

88% people felt that their team will win an international tournament by the next four years. It seems like, the Indian fans must be having their eyes set on next year’s T20 World Cup and the 2023 World Cup at home.

Apart from this, the study also revealed that 41 percent of Indians would rather lose their jobs than not be able to attend a historic match. Similarly, 42 percent of Indian fans would cancel their honeymoon to attend a match. On the other hand, the percentage of people willing to cancel their honeymoon for their favorite sport was only 19 outside India.

Well, one shouldn’t doubt the love of Indians towards cricket as the fans recently proved it by their support to pink-ball Test. Thousands of fans turned up for the first-ever day-night match at the Eden Gardens to make the Test match more memorable.
