Aakash Chopra Heaped Praises On Hardik Pandya’s Powerful Performance: Indian all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja put on a stellar show for team India in the 3rd ODI game against Australia. After losing the first two ODIs at the SCG, Virat Kohli and the company are playing to salvage some pride in the ongoing third ODI match in Canberra.
As the game kickstarted, Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first. However, team India’s opener Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill failed to give a good start to the game as they got dismissed early after scoring 16 runs off 27 balls and 33 runs off 39 balls. Later, Virat Kohli held the game strong and scored a brilliant 63 off 78 balls.
After the Indian skipper was dismissed in the 32nd over, it looked like team India would struggle to post a 250+ total. However, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja joined hands and took the responsibility on their shoulders.
After having lost 5 wickets, the Men in Blue were struggling at 152/5 at one stage, this is when Ravindra Jadeja (66 off 50) and Hardik Pandya (92 off 76), brought up 300 runs for India, with the last 100 runs coming from only 51 deliveries.
All thanks to the amazing partnership of Jadeja and Pandya, India posted a competitive 302 in the third ODI. Pandya-Jadeja’s powerful knock of 150-run partnership is the highest ever partnership for the sixth wicket or lower in ODIs in Australia.
Meanwhile, social media was all praises for Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya after their brilliant partnership. Among many, former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra also took to his Twitter and heaped praises on Hardik Pandya, for his ‘mature’ knocks in the past two games. Aakash Chopra wrote:
“Hardik Pandya….loved the maturity with which he’s controlled the innings. Twice in three games now. Batting software has been upgraded significantly…”
