Aakash Chopra Reacts After Kuldeep Yadav Gets Snubbed For 1st Test: Another test match, another snub for Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav as he once again failed to make it to India’s playing XI for the ongoing first test match against England at Chennai.
Even though Kuldeep was fit and team India was struggling to build a decent team to face Australians during the Border-Gavaskar series, however, Yadav didn’t get the opportunity to showcase his talent. Now after warming the bench during the Border-Gavaskar trophy, Yadav’s wait to make a comeback has been extended as he couldn’t make it to the playing XI.
The Chinaman’s last game in an Indian test jersey happened in January 2019, when he played a huge role in helping India win their very first Test series Down Under at Sydney against Australia. He picked a five-wicket haul against Australia in Sydney. It was his amazing performances that prompted the Indian head coach Ravi Shastri to say that Yadav will be the team’s primary spinner overseas.
Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with their reactions to Yadav’s absence from playing XI. Fans weren’t happy at all with the decision of team management. Several cricketers and experts took to their social media to express their thoughts on the same.
Among many, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra also took to his social media and penned down his thoughts on Yadav struggling to make it to the playing XI. He asked a very important and logical question to the Indian team management. He wrote:
“India’s most successful new ball bowler is introduced. Let’s get going. Also…on the playing XI….What is Kuldeep supposed to do?? Can’t play when Ash-Jadeja are there. Won’t play even when Jadeja isn’t there and India’s playing at home. When does he play? Thinking face #IndvEng”
