Aakash Chopra Reacts After Team India Was Denied DRS Call Against Australia: Ever since MS Dhoni’s sabbatical from team India, team India and it’s love-hate relationship with DRS – Decision Review System, has become one of the most talked-about things. Virat Kohli has come under the scanner for not being successful with his reviews and for making full use of DRS.
On Tuesday, during the third and final T20I, another such incident took place as team India was once again involved in a massive goof up on the Decision Review System (DRS).
Before the game started, team India won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Men in Blue kickstarted the game with a blockbuster start by taking the wicket of Aaron Finch in the powerplay. However, Matthew Wade formed a decent partnership with Steve Smith as they together carried the team forward. During the 10th over of the game, Washington Sundar dismissed Steve Smith.
However, Matthew Wade was still going strong after he had smashed a half-century. To make things worst, team India missed out on a golden opportunity to dismiss him.
It happened on the fourth ball of the 11th over, when T Natarajan plumbed Matthew Wade right infront of the wicket, however, Virat Kohli led team didn’t take a DRS call on time and later on, when they asked for the DRS they had already seen the replay on the big screen. Though the DRS call was asked on time but as per the rule, a DRS call is invalid after the replay has been shown on the big screen.
India wanted to review this
The third umpire said no because replays had already been shown on the big screen

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra took to his Twitter and expressed his thoughts about the same. In his tweet, he asked his followers whether the review was played after 15 seconds or the review was taken before 15 seconds. He wrote:
“Right decision made. Can’t have the review after the replays are on the big screen. But was it up earlier than it should have been??? Or was it played only after 15 seconds had lapsed?? #Wade #Natarajan #AusvInd”

Meanwhile, social media has been abuzz with the suggestions of fans on this. While there were many who came out in support of the Indian skipper, on the other hand, many are slamming wicket-keeper KL Rahul for not paying much attention.
Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
Really right decision??
In what way, it’s not our fault they showed the replay before 15 sec but Kohli asked for review before end of 15 sevonds!— “`~_Saksham_~“` (@Its_SakshamR) December 8, 2020

Big screen isn’t a part of play. So that shouldn’t matter.
Remember one incident were umpire called a no ball, on big screen it showed that it was legal delivery. But tat didn’t matter and stayed.— Name cannot be blank (@sampath_prabhu) December 8, 2020
Natarajan needs to work on his appealing skills. He always looks very reluctant. KL’s keeping skills isn’t good enough at this level imho.

But then isn’t it Broadcaster’s mistake to display the replay on big screen before 15 seconds? #AUSvIND

This is ridiculous! What they are showing replays before 15 seconds? @imVkohli was not at fault at all! https://t.co/oUjz8hqpZ7
