Aakash Chopra Takes A Dig At Prime Time Television Anchors On Twitter: Journalism in India has been achieving a new low every day. Lately, as the investigations on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case intensifies, a lot of embarrassing and shameful incidents are being witnessed on a daily basis on our news channels.
Lately, a video has been making rounds on social media from Republic TV, which broadcast the reporter’s expletives LIVE on its channel. In the short clip being circulated on social media, an unidentified reporter was heard saying, “O, fu** Maadharc*od.”

Not just this, a senior politician Sanjay Raut recently abused Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and went on to threaten her on live TV. All of this has left netizens in a state of anger and disappointment. People on the internet are slamming journalists and news channels for achieving new low in journalism every day.
Meanwhile, popular journalist and storyteller, Neelesh Misra took to his twitter and slammed the journalists for crossing lines by abusing on TV. He also slammed the senior politicians who abused a woman on TV. He wrote how abusing is getting normalized on TV in India. He wrote:
“Experts have abused (like, proper abused) on live TV. Reporters have abused on live TV. A senior politician has abused a woman on a TV camera. Abuse is normalised on TV in India. One lakshman rekha crossed every time. How much worse, more brazen, more dirty will it get?”

The tweet soon attracted a lot of eyes, with many sharing their opinions on the same. The tweet also caught the eyes of former Indian cricketer and popular commentator Aakash Chopra who came up with a cheeky reply. Sharing the tweet, Aakash Chopra slammed the prime time news anchors with a sarcastic jibe on them.
In his tweet, Aakash Chopra suggested that the news channels should be operated after 11 pm and should be classified as ‘adult content’. He wrote:
“Perhaps, time to allow News Channels to operate only after 11pm. Classify it as Adult content.”
