Royal Challengers Bangalore star cricketer AB de Villiers dished out another game-changing knock against the Delhi Capitals as his knock propel RCB’s total to 171 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Mt. 5K for Mr 360@ABdeVilliers17 now has 5000 runs in #VIVOIPL and he gets there in 161 innings. After Warner, he is only the second overseas player to reach the mark. https://t.co/NQ9SSSBbVT #DCvRCB #VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/rCRVimv3YR

AB de Villiers arrived at the middle when RCB had already lost crucial wickets in quick successions. Though he started off slow yet he played another potential match-winning knock to bail his team out of trouble. He played an unbeaten knock of 75 runs off 42 balls, where he smashed 3 fours and 5 sixes. He rained fours and sixes in the last over bowled by Marcus Stoinis and smashed 23 runs off that over.

Later after the match, AB de Villiers revealed that the six smashed against Kagiso Rabada over mid-wicket was his best and that it’s about managing oneself after getting into the tournament. He feels that one can’t go to any match feeling fatigued and did all the fitness drills at home.

Further, de Villiers said that he tries to keep himself fresh before every game and lauded the young Indian bowlers, who are carrying their form from international cricket. As per him, skipper Virat Kapoor and Glenn Maxwell try to have fun on the field. He said:

“I was asked this question after I batted – no offence to KG but the one over midwicket was my best one. Once you’re into the tournament, it’s more about managing yourself, make sure you’re fresh every game. You can’t go into the game feeling fatigued. I’ve really done some work at home and we have treadmills in the room. I’ve done all the work and now it’s all about being as fresh as I can when I go out to bat. We’ve got a couple of experienced heads and a couple of young Indian bowlers who have done well in international cricket recently. Myself, Maxi and Virat have played a lot. We just try to have fun out there. I’ve forced myself to savour it,”
