AB de Villiers Took A Hilarious Dig At Virat Kohli After His Last Game As RCB Captain: Virat Kohli’s stint as the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, spanning a period of 9 seasons, came to an end on Monday with Royal Challengers Bangalore bowing out of IPL 2021 in the eliminator round against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Virat Kohli had already announced at the start of the second leg that he would be stepping down from the position of the franchise post this season. It wasn’t the end that he or his fans wanted but this year as well the team failed to get their hands on the prestigious cup.

After the match, RCB shared a video via their official social media handles, where they shared the dressing room scenes after the game. In the video, the RCB cricketers were seen getting a little high on emotions. RCB’s star batsman AB de Villiers was heard poking fun at Virat after his final game as skipper in the T20 league.

AB de Villiers was seen showering praises on his skipper, the South African batsman jokingly poked fun at the said that the umpires can now breathe easy as Kohli will not be captaining the Bengaluru based side. He said:

“I think some of the umpires will sleep a bit better. I am very happy for them,”

Further, the South African star batter also congratulated Virat Kohli on his tenure as skipper and expressed that he can’t wait to see Virat winning trophies for India and RCB. He said:

“Congrats on a great captaincy career. I can’t wait to watch you run out there with all the freedom and win (the) first trophy for us (RCB) and more trophies for India,”

Another video of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers went viral, where RCB teammates are seen standing in a team huddle. Virat can be seen wiping his tears and taking deep deep breaths to control his emotion. De Villiers can be seen standing next to him as tears flew down his cheek.
