Abdul Razzaq Made Another Bizarre Statement Comparing Kohli And Babar: The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is hailed as the modern-day legend of cricket. On the other hand, Babar Azam has become the batting mainstay for the Pakistan cricket team over the years. There has always been a debate going on regarding who is the better batsman among Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. The latest one to join the bandwagon is Pakistan’s former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq.

Time and again, Abdul Razzaq has made heads turn with his controversial claims on the arch rivalry between India and Pakistan. And once again he has managed to do that as he shared his views on the ‘Kohli vs Babar’ debate.

Well, former Pakistan’s all-rounder Abdul Razzaq recently said that the players from his country should not be compared to Indian cricketers, claiming that Pakistan has ‘more talent’. Yes, you read that right.

Abdul Razzaq also said that the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Babar Azam shouldn’t be compared to each other as they both are ‘completely different players’. Talking about the comparisons, he said:

“Firstly, we should not say such a thing [compare Virat Kohli with Babar Azam]. You can’t compare Indian players with Pakistan players because Pakistan has more talent. If you look at our history, we have so many great players who we can draw comparisons with like Mohammad Yousuf, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Saeed Anwar, Javed Miandad, Zaheer Abbas and Ijaz Ahmed,”

He added:

“Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are completely different players. If we want to compare the two, then it’s important to hold matches between Pakistan and India and then judge who is a better player,”

However, Razzaq also made it clear that he has nothing against the Indian skipper as he praised him for his performances. He said:

“Virat Kohli is a good player and he has performed well against Pakistan. I have nothing against him but if Indians don’t compare their players with Pakistan, then we shouldn’t do that as well,”

Furthermore, Abdul Razzaq heaped praises on Babar Azam and claimed that the Pakistani cricketer will go on to break all the records. He said:

“He [Babar Azam] played under me for five to six years at ZTBL and I never dropped him as captain. He was very talented and a very decent batsman. He proved himself [on the world stage] and is now the number one batsman. If we look after him properly, he will go on to break all the records,”
