Tonight the big match is between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at the famous Eden Gardens of Kolkata. Both the teams are playing great in the ongoing league, while the Chennai Super Kings are leading the score charts, Kolkata Knight Riders is at the fourth position in the score charts.

However, ahead of the big match tonight, everyone was left stunned after the news of Nitish Rana’s injury came out.The head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders, Jacques Kallis feels that the injuries have been a part of every team and there is nothing to make much out of it. Talking about it in an interview with TOI,he said:
“We have injury concerns but so do most other teams. The moment you start regretting the loss of players or start making excuses, is the moment you run the risk of losing the plot. Everybody has to get on with it – injuries are a test of the contingency plans you have put in place,”

Kallis also revealed how the top-two finishes are still the top most priority for him. He said:
“It is always a huge game against Chennai. MS [Dhoni] has been grabbing the headlines on a regular basis but the team is so much more than him. A top-two finish is still our priority but the old cliché is truer than ever – one game at a time. But there is no need to keep anything in the tank now – it’s time to start pushing with everything we have,”

As the Kolkata knigh Riders have lost 4 matches out of the 8 they have played, the loss:win ration of the team becomes 4:4, talking about which he said:
“Naturally, every team prefers to have a healthy win/lose ratio but I’m not too unhappy with a 4:4 record at this stage of the tournament. I regard it as a solid platform from which we can push for a top-two finish,”
