Adam Gilchrist Reacts To James Anderson’s ‘King Pair’

Deep MehtaBy Deep Mehta21/11/2016Updated:08/02/2023No Comments1 Min Read

As India gained a lead after they won the first Test on Day 5 after beating England, James Anderson achieved something that a batsman is never particularly proud of – a ‘King Pair’. Adam Gilchrist took it to Twitter and welcomed him to the club. In 2001, Gilchrist registered a King Pair as well when he was dismissed by Harbhajan Singh and Sachin Tendulkar on nought. In the second innings, debutant Jayant Yadav trapped him while Ravi Ashwin dismissed him in a similar fashion in the first innings.

Check out Adam Gilchrist’s Tweet:

Welcome to the club @jimmy9 I was first Aussie back in ’01 in Calcutta. #indiadoesthattoyou ??? https://t.co/6rABjR0CSU
