It has been quite a long time since MS Dhoni has been receiving criticism for his performance. e has been struggling with his performance since a few months now and has failed to emulate his hard-hitting abilities of the past. His presence in the team for World Cup has become one of the most debatable topic ever.

While many cricket pundits and experts are against his presence in the squad, on the other hand, any top cricketers including, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and many more, have came out and supported the former skipper by saying he is still the best in the business.

A few days before AB de Villiers had come out and supported MS Dhoni and said that he would want him to play in his team every day of every year as he is just fantastic. AB de Villiers still regards him as the true match-winner. He said :

“ I would play MS Dhoni in my team every day of every year. He can be 80, in a wheelchair, and he would still play for my team. He is fantastic I mean look at his record. You want to drop a guy like that? You can go ahead by all means. I wouldn’t,”

Now, another cricketing legend has come out in support for MS Dhoni. Jonty Rhodes, the South African cricketer has backed Dhoni and said that he is still a very influential player. He said :

“He (Dhoni) is still a very influential player. It is about where you make contributions and how you make them,”

Well, we can’t agree more with him. MS Dhoni is surely a very influential player and his contributions – be it behind the stumps or with the bat or with his experience, has always worked in favor for the Indian cricket team.
