This news comes as a big disappointment for Ajinkya Rahane ahead of the South Africa tour. Ajinkya Rahane’s Father has been arrested for running his car over a 67 year old woman.

Ajinkya Rahane’s Father, Madhukar Rahane was driving an i20 on the Pune- Bangalore highway when this unfortunate incident happened. The family was headed to Tarkarli, Konkan.

The lady was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead after succumbing to severe injuries. Rahane’s Father lost control of the car and ended up hitting the lady who died. Rahane’s Father has been taken into police custody and has been booked under sections 304A, 289, 377 and 338 of the Indian Penal Code.

Other members present in the car were Rahane’s mother and sister and the family was headed for a vacation. The 67 year old deceased woman has been identified as Ashatai Kamble.

The accident took place in the Kagal area on National Highway 4. The collision was so impactful that despite being taken to the hospital early the woman died.

The Indian team will be soon advancing for the long tour of South Africa and this comes as an unfortunate news for Ajinkya Rahane.

His father may have to face grave legal consequences for the accident and the family is headed for some unfortunate trouble. Now we need to wait for further development into the case and he hope that the judiciary will conduct a fair trial.
