Akash Chopra’s Cracking Response To Those Asking Dhoni To Retire Is Savage

Dhoni’s patchy form has once again brought him under scrutiny. Once again people have started to suggest that the former Indian captain should hang his boots. In the ongoing series which India has already sealed, the form of the middle order including that of MS Dhoni has come under heavy criticism.

Virat Kohli and his men have scripted history by winning the first-ever ODI series in South Africa. This team has achieved what no previous Indian team could do and that makes it a moment to remember forever. Riding on Rohit Sharma’s brilliant ton, India won the fifth ODI by 73 runs and also ascertained a series win.

Rohit Sharma has been in troubled waters ever since the tour of South Africa started. After a poor run of form in the test series, things only worsened for him in the ongoing ODI series but the 5th ODI brought him a great relief.

MIDDLE ORDER WOES HAUNT INDIA

India might have won the series but the middle order woes are more than visible. If it wasn’t for the top 3 scoring runs for India then this series win would have been impossible given how poorly the middle order has performed. Ajinkya Rahane, Kedhar Jadhav, and Shreyas Iyer have all been tried but they failed.

BUT WHY IS THE BLAME ONLY ON DHONI?

It is actually strange that though the entire middle order including Hardik Pandya has failed, fingers are pointed at only MS Dhoni. MS Dhoni should be batting up the order but if you play him at number 7 then he would surely struggle because he cannot start to hit from the word go. So why is MS Dhoni not playing at 4 given all those being sent ahead of him are failing?
