SMAT 2022: WATCH- Ambati Rayudu And Sheldon Jackson Get Into An Ugly Fight Because Of This Reason

An ugly fight broke out during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 Elite Group D game between Saurashtra and Baroda as the two of the most experienced cricketers of Indian domestic cricket, Sheldon Jackson and Ambati Rayudu got into a heated argument.

The incident took place during the ninth over of the match when Sheldon Jackson, who is playing for Saurashtra, was batting for the side. Batting at two down, Jackson played a couple of good shots to the fence. Having scored at a strike rate of more than 100, Jackson was looking in great form however in the ninth over of the innings, he got visibly upset after the opposition skipper passed some remarks at him.

Yes, as per the on-air commentator, the fight ensued after Rayudu expressed his displeasure at Jackson taking time to get ready to face the deliveries. Jackson decided to confront Rayudu for his statements and started walking towards Rayudu, fielding at the cover. Jackson was so furious that he was seen pointing his fingers at Rayudu in a very animated manner. Following this, both the players charged toward each other only for the umpire to come in between, and other players also intervened and separated the two before the ugly scenes happened.

Following the umpires’ intervention, Jackson returned back to his batting crease but Rayudu kept on arguing with the umpires. The video of the same has been making rounds on the internet.
