Chennai Super Kings added another feather to their hat. They lifted the trophy of the tournament for the third time. The team won the finale after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at the Wankhade Stadium of Mumbai. The team gave consistently brilliant performances throughout the tournament.

Ambatti Rayudu, the star player of Chennai Super Kings played extremely well since the inaugural match. He gave many thrilling performances in the match, he was one of the reasons behind the success of the team. He is the fourth highest run scorer in the just concluded season of IPL. He scored 602 runs in 16 matches that he played.

However, he was playing for Mumbai Indians for eight years but he wasn’t retained by the team because of his poor performance in the year 2017. But Ambatti Rayudu had a very wonderful journey in this season of Indian Premiere League.

Recently, Ambatti Rayudu was a guest in Harbhajan Singh’s talk show “Quick Heal Bhajji Blast show” . In the show Harbajan Singh asked about Ambatti Rayudu’s lucky charm to which Ambatti replied that he borrows a bat from Kohli each year and now even Virat Kohli knows that his bat is lucky for Ambatti Rayudu.
Here’s what Ambatti Rayudu revealed in the show :
“Har saal ek bat leta hu Virat (Kohli) se, usko bhi maloom ho gaya ki tashan hai. Is saal to gaali deke diya hai.”
Which roughly translates to : I borrow a bat from Virat every year. Now even he knows the secret. This time around he gave me a bat after a lot of banter.
