As a KKR fan, nothing makes me more happier than knowing the fact that Gautam Gambhir you are back. You are back home. Yes, people may say that you hail from Delhi but when KKR fought under you, there was a fire like never before. You know it breaks my heart to say that the fire has been long gone.
Now all that remains are the chewed bones of former glory, the mockery inflicted upon us and years of pent-up pain and desperation. Gauti, they have taken it all away from us. They have taken away our joy. They have taken away the belief and they have left us with only agony.
Gautam Gambhir, you coming back makes me believe that there will be someone willing to do the right thing. Maybe and just maybe someone will speak up again and someone will tell the management, that enough is enough. The same management that still believes that Andre Russell can still be our hero.
Gautam Gambhir, it’s been a while since we have actually seen a step being taken towards glory. A step that is right enough to challenge the counterparts. We now go for big names that have proven oneself in just one match and failed the rest. We now go for names that somehow just can’t even get the basics right.
With you in the mix, maybe and just maybe this entire attitude may stop. This entire cycle may come to an end. With you in the thick of things, we would know what is right and what is wrong. That hunger that you brough to the side the last time, that was something extraordinary. That was something that made us believe, that kept us dreaming.
Gauti, I know that this is asking you too much with you being the mentor but guess what, with you back at the helm of affairs, we believe again. We know that we will fight till our last breath. We will battle the odds, we will battle the mountains, we will battle the seas and the Vikings. Maybe I am rambling too much but when has a fan ever not believed in his true hero.
